David Jeremy Wilkerson

Born: September 5th @5:31pm

Weight: 7.5lbs

Length: 19"

Our "LABOR" day! ; )

So, for family and friends... this is how our "LABOR" day went...

Sept. 4th: went to doctor in the morning, I was at 3cm dialated...she said "check back in a week." (yeahhhh...right) We spent the evening roaming around Super Walmart and just relaxing.

Sept. 5th: 12am the minor contractions started (no real pain...just frequent and uncomfortable)...they started to get closer throughout the night and by 6am they were 5 minutes apart. We just stayed home for a while and tried to relax...music, candles, hot bath, breakfast, etc. We finally went to the hospital when the contractions were 2 mins apart and a little stronger.

8:30am at the hospital w/ the whole family! Had breakfast AGAIN and just walked around the hospital with Travis!

Noon: contractions were getting a little stronger, still no SEVERE pain...walked around, sat in the jacuzzi w/ Travis...that was AWESOME and relaxing.

AT THIS POINT...I totally lost track of time! All I knew was I was dilated to 7cm and ready to SCREAM! ; ) The last thing I said was, "This is NOT fun anymore!" ...and that was when the REAL pain set in (we have it on video if anyone wants to show their teenage daughters as a form of birth control!)

We opted for NO MEDS, which I don't recommend unless you have a great support team and coach! Travis was the best coach I could ask for...he talked me through everything, massaged my hands and feet, encouraged me constantly, prayed over me through contractions, made sure I stayed hydrated and relaxed. He was absolutely amazing...strong and calm through the whole process.

My mom and my sisters were also great supporters...encouraging (and tough when they needed to be) as well as helping Travis to move me around in the bed...

Finally, after what seemed like FOREVER...one last push and DJ was here at 5:31pm!
He weighed 7.5lbs and was 19" long. We couldn't have been more excited! His anties, uncles and cousins were ready and waiting to come meet him!

He was alert and just staring at everyone! We moved into our new room at the hospital and spent the night...we stayed a little longer just so we could get our "celebration" dinner then went on home!

So we are home now and we can't stop staring at our new son! He is soooo adorable and we just love him so much!

Thank you to all who called, text, emailed, Facebooked your "congratulations!" We truly appreciate it!

Thank You SO MUCH!

Thank you for attending our baby shower on August 8th at Sage Bakery!

We are so blessed to have family and friends that have shown their support and love in welcoming baby DJ (David Jeremy)! Thank you so much for all of the gifts, but more importantly thank you for just being there! It meant so much to us to have you all there with us!

Thanks again to Farren's mom, sisters Sarah and Iris for planning such a wonderful shower!

God Bless!
